6 pm - 10 pm

We will meet at the church at 6 pm and go

Christmas Caroling at the homes of

some of our church members.

We will then go to Chris and Ginger’s House for

dinner and Chinese Christmas present exchange.

If you would like to be a part of the game,

you need bring a gift that is no more than $10.

Notes from Parent and Student Meeting

Trip Date - November 20-21

Departure Time - 4:00 PM

Destination - Glenstone Lodge

504 Historic Nature Trail, Gatlinburg, TN 37738

What do students need to bring? Students will need night clothes, one change of clothes, toiletries, and a jacket.

As of 11-14-09 the weather is showing
Friday 39/58 and Saturday 39/60

DO NOT Bring a large suitcase, bring a duffle bag or a another type of small bag, we are very limited on space. This is only a one night trip!

Phones - Students will be allowed to bring their phones, just in case of an emergency. We are asking that ALL students do not have contact anyone back home unless it is a parent. Anyone found using a phone will have their phone taken up.

Ipods/music - Please see to it that the only music that comes on the trip is music that glorifies God.

Remember we are representing SSBC and most importantly Christ. This is a weekend that could be life changing in all of our lives. Lets not do anything that may hinder God’s work in our hearts.

Parent and Student Meeting

Sunday at 5:00 we will have a parent and student meeting, for all that are going on the Hearts on Fire trip. If you have not turned in permission slips please bring them with you as well as Insurance information. The meeting will be in the Youth room upstairs in the gym. This will be the final meeting before the trip, all parents need to be there. Thanks, Chris

Hearts on Fire Information

Hearts on Fire Coming Soon

The Hearts on Fire Youth Retreat is November 20-21 in Gatlinburg, Tn. We will be leaving on Friday the 20th and returning on Saturday evening the 21st. This will be a wonderful experience for all youth. It will be a great learning experience as well as a time to Worship our Savior. This conference will be very evangelistic in nature, as one of the Speakers is Kirk Cameron from "Fireproof" and the evangelism team "Way of the Master." I encourage all of our youth to take advantage of this opportunity, it could be a life changing event. The cost for the trip is $35 per student plus food money. Each student will be responsible for their own money for food. We will have a parent meeting on Sunday October 4 at 5:15 pm in the youth room to give more details.

Wednesday Nights - "Do You Want to go to the Mountain?"

I want to remind all of you to be at church on for the next few Wednesday nights. You will all individually have to decide how you want to answer the question "Do You Want to go to the Mountain?" This is a study of the book all of you received while Steve Roach was here. This book has opened my eyes to a life that I believe God wants for us all. Make sure to read the at least 2 chapters of the book per week and don't forget to bring it and your bible with you on Wednesday.

Retreat with Steve Roach

What an Awesome weekend! It was alot of fun getting to see Steve and his family again. Steve always had a way of helping people to see how great God really is. I hope all of you will take your new "Do You Want to go to the Mountain?" book and begin to read it. I thought it was cool to get the chance to break away from everyone and ask God what He wants to do in my life. For some reason it seems like we are able to be closer to God on weekends like this. I know that isn't true, God just takes away the distractions that we normally have. I'm praying that God is starting to do some Awesome things in our youth, but that is up to you.
